About the role
This is a category/geography leadership role. You will be the single-threaded leader of our UK brand portfolio (c.150 brands). The ideal candidate will become our SME for UK brands and implement a framework that sets local brands up for success on Healf. In traditional category management style, the scope is broad and candidates will need to have strong IQ/EQ, commercial acumen & adaptability. Adaptability is key; we are looking for candidates with a demonstrable ability to quickly grasp new concepts, identify opportunities & take action. Core KPIs will be fostering meaningful relationships, improving profitability & extending payment terms.
In Year 1, you will have the below objectives:
1) Maximising Brand Partner Growth
Rigorously analyse data to understand what drives performance for our UK brands.
Derive insights from large data sets to guide our partners on growth levers across key areas: pricing, inventory, marketing, supply chain & content.
Ensure our brands have full, regular visibility on how they are trending with Healf through forecasts & comprehensive decks.
Coordinate with internal teams to expedite processes & eliminate inefficiencies.
Use a demand signals framework to intelligently expand assortments whilst minimising inventory risk.
2) Building Exceptional Relationships
Ensuring that we’re always working in the best interests of our brand partners across all areas.
Having a clear understanding of each brand’s strategic objectives in the UK & building a robust plan to ensure Healf is on track to achieve them.
Earning trust to enable productive negotiations with brands on sales, marketing & distribution agreements.
3) Deep Market Understanding
We are a high-growth business in a constantly evolving health & wellness landscape. To ensure Healf is always operating in the most efficient & profitable way, you will need to be intellectually curious & adopt a challenger mindset.
As Healf’s SME for UK brands you will build a deep understanding of how Healf can position itself to drive maximum value for UK brands. You will need to take feedback from brands & analyze the competitor landscape to refine Healf’s ‘edge’.
As you grow the UK brand portfolio & build its business case, you will have the opportunity to hire & build out a team.
Requirements
To perform in this role, the candidate must have/be:
3+ years experience in autonomously handling clients/accounts. Preferably in retail/e-com.
High IQ/EQ
Entrusting; a natural listener and relationship builder
Willing to work long & hard in pursuit of aggressive targets. This is not a 9-5.
Excited by the prospect of joining a close-knit team of highly motivated, smart & hard-working individuals
Comfortable using data to derive insights & tell a compelling story (Excel/Shopify/ThoughtSpot)
